Hey everyone, CykaDev here!
You may have noticed that there have been no weekly news last week. For those who didn’t know, my laptop charger died on me, and I had to take a forced break for a few days because of that. Sometimes life just doesn’t go your way ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
Another screenshot this week, of best girl Komori! I know I said I’d have something special in stock for the next weekly news, but to be honest, with all the stuff that happened lately, it’s been hard to prepare for these news. I’ve already struggled a lot to write, and that’s done.
This week has been hectic again. I know I keep saying this, but it feels as if life had decided to try and make me be as slow as possible. My laptop charger died on Friday, I got a new one on Tuesday, and I’ve noticed my general efficiency has been going down. The quality is still the one I want, but I’m just way slower. I think I just need to get back to it.
Stats time! We have approximatively 686.000 words for 133.000 lines. Now, I’d like to address a little something that has come to my attention thanks to a few people. The way I count my lines/words is a consequence of my writing, and not the contrary; I do not write to reach a minimum per day. I do write about 1500 lines/day, but that’s more of a maximum than a minimum; of course I like to reach this amount, because it gives me a sense of progress, but I know that if I didn’t have such a limit, I’d very easily work until I pass out. And we all know this is not a good idea. So please, do keep in mind I’m working as hard as I can to produce something we’ll be proud of! I don’t want this project to be rushed, hence the massive amount of time I spend on it everyday.
And now, the Concrete Information Corner! Last time was Mr.Okawa, today is Mizutani Kanno!
Imada is one of the protagonist’s teachers. Mr. Okawa is really dedicated to his students. He is against bullying, and he won’t hesitate to strongly punish students who disobey the rules. He is however kind of oblivious to these things, as it generally takes a while for him to spot abnormal signs of bullying or problems with his students. Depending on who he’s talking to, he can be really cold or unexpectedly nice. Quite a binary personality that’ll turn out to be rather interesting.
To keep it short, Ms. Kanno doesn’t give a single shit about the protagonist. She’s the headmaster, but she doesn’t really care about her students: she’s a narrow minded and selfish person, unwilling to help her own students. She doesn’t even like her job. She won’t have a central role, but will definitely be interesting in certain situations. There’s a clear difference between her and Mr.Okawa, with a contrast between their two personalities; one that genuinely care for students, and the other that just doesn’t even want to try.
And that’s it for today! As a last word, I just really wanted to thank you all again. I often question myself and wonder why I’m still here (just to suffer?), and I often realize that it’s all thanks to you. I really owe you a lot for helping me make my dream come true, and I hope we’ll go far together.
Cheers, and goodnight to my European pals 🙂
